Lau cleverly tricks Kwong into admitting his crime and Kwong is executed. Lau goes to the capital to receive an award from the emperor. At a banquet Lau meets his mentor Man Chun Fong, a senior official in the imperial court. They team up to get other officials to join disaster relief projects.
Episode 10 (June 7)
Mui goes to Mui Lam county to hunt down masked bandit Lone Dragon, who is planning to steal a jade Buddha.
A million taels have arrived in Leung Choi county in transit to Ngok Chau. Lau dispatches all criminal hunters to guard the money. But he is kidnapped and the bandits demand a ransom of 10,000 taels.
Episode 11 (June 8)
Ping joins the bandits and comes up with a plan to get rid of Lau and Mui and also collect the ransom.
Wong suspects that Ping is behind the kidnap.
Mui tries to save Lau and Ying helps her, but Ying is seriously injured.
Sum issues an arrest warrant for Flying Eagle.
Lau secretly takes herbal medicine to Ying and asks Mui to prepare it. Mui is surprised to learn that Ying is Flying Eagle.
Episode 12 (June 9)
Mui takes care of Ying tirelessly but refuses to talk to her. Fong suspects Mui knows Flying Eagle and uses her as bait.
Mui is kidnapped and a man in black comes to her rescue. It turns out that Ying asked Law to save Mui.
Ying tells Mui how she became Flying Eagle. She gives Mui a scroll for her to give her future lover. Lau appears and to his surprise, Mui gives him the scroll.
Episode 13 (June 10)
Ying decides to teach Mui all the kung fu she knows, but unfortunately Mui cannot use the techniques effectively.
Lau and Mui run into some bandits. Lau helps Mui catch them by shouting out the techniques she should use.
Eager to see her son On, Sau promises her ex-husband to come up with 300 taels to pay off his debts. She steals Ying's abalone and jewellery and sells it.
Lau tricks Kwong into admitting he murdered his elder brother to get the ancestral house. Lau's quick wit and rich knowledge makes Mui admire him even more.
