Thom Evans – Biography Thom Evans was born in Harare, Zimbabwe on April 2, 1985. Former rugby player who played internationally and in rugby union from 2004 to 2010. Bluegrass singer/songwriter, three-time Grammy winner and licensed riverboat captain John Hartford died June 4 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville after a long battle with cancer. He was 63.
Hartford penned the ballad "Gentle on My Mind," which earned him two Grammys. The song was made into a hit by Glenn Campbell in 1967. Early in his career, Hartford wrote and performed on "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" and was a cast member of "
